Positron versus DIVA
Small group of developers forked Blender source code and created Positron. It should be the best non-liner video editor in the World ;-). I guess, that it will be somethink like Jahshaka (something "cool", unstable and unusefull for real work). btw: they don't offer source code :-(.
DIVA seems as simple and easy to use video editor written in Mono. It is developed as part of Google Summer of Code 2005. Go Michael, Go! ;-)

I had a look at the progress of Diva before, it looks really promising - the guy behind it seems to really know what he's doing, and seems to be putting a lot of effort into the details, and making it work right. Considering all I've seen of Positron is a bunch of excited people in forums, I'm inclined to think that Diva has a better chance of survival and success for now!
